The “Plywood Killer”: Structural Strength, Zero Rot
If you are trying to mount a large sign (like 4ft x 8ft) between two fence posts, standard 4mm corrugated plastic won’t cut it. It will bow, buckle, and fly away in the wind.
Historically, the only alternative was heavy plywood. But plywood is a nightmare: it absorbs water, swells, rots, gives you splinters, and the paint eventually peels off.
Enter 10mm Heavy Duty Coroplast.
At nearly half an inch thick (0.4″), this material bridges the gap between a temporary sign and a permanent structure. It offers the rigidity of wood with the weatherproofing of plastic.
Why Construction Sites Switch to 10mm
100% Waterproof: Rain, mud, and snow shed right off. Unlike wood, it will never absorb moisture or rot.
Super Rigid: The internal flutes (ribs) are massive compared to the standard version. You can span this material across a wide frame or screw it directly into posts, and it will hold its shape without sagging.
Featherlight Strength: You can carry a 4×8 sheet under one arm. Try doing that with a sheet of plywood. This makes installation faster and safer for your crew.
The Perfect Surface for Branding
Direct printing on plywood looks rough because of the wood grain.
Direct printing on 10mm Coroplast looks pristine.
The surface is smooth, bright white, and optimized for UV ink adhesion. Your renderings, safety warnings, and company logos will look sharp and vibrant, projecting a professional image for your development project.
Technical Specifications
| Feature | Specification | The Upgrade |
| Thickness | 10mm (approx. 0.4″) | 2.5x thicker than standard yard signs. |
| Structure | Twin-Wall Polypropylene | Heavy-duty internal ribs for max stiffness. |
| Weight | Lightweight | Easy to drill, screw, and hang. |
| Durability | Outdoor Rated | Chemical, water, and stain resistant. |
| Mounting | Screws / Washers | Note: Too thick for standard H-Stakes. |
Note on Hardware (Important)
Because of its extreme thickness, this material does not fit standard wire H-Stakes. It is designed to be:
Screwed directly into wooden posts or fences (using washers).
Inserted into heavy-duty metal frames.
Zip-tied to chain-link fences.
Build It Better
Your project deserves better than a rotting piece of wood. Upgrade to 10mm Heavy Duty Coroplast for site signage that looks as professional as the building you are constructing.
